Team Overview
The B&M Retail team operates in-store pharmacies, diagnostics, and e-consultation services, ensuring excellent customer experience and collaborating with Warehousing, Merchandising, and Marketing.
Key Responsibilities
Financial & Sales:
- Achieve daily sales targets (shift-wise), including private labels, BigBasket, generics, high-margin categories, and diagnostics.
- Develop business relationships with local doctors, gyms, salons, grocery chains, and other partners.
- Ensure customer and prescription reminder calls are made and tracked properly.
- Maintain the commitment register and close orders timely.
Omnichannel Business:
- Maintain zero pushback and zero TAT breaches on omnichannel orders.
- Perform root cause analyses on pushbacks/breaches and implement corrective actions.
- Guide the team on improvements based on RCAs.
Team Management, Review & Training:
- Motivate and manage team performance, attendance, and rosters.
- Address team challenges and clarify targets and incentives clearly.
- Conduct daily performance reviews and planning.
- Provide ongoing knowledge training on medicines, private labels, and generics.
- Coach team members on professional phone and WhatsApp communication.
- Nominate staff for central training programs.
Customer Service & Experience:
- Ensure team grooming and customer etiquette.
- Oversee customer service in-store and via communication channels with timely responses.
- Build lasting customer relationships.
Inventory Health:
- Validate inventory accuracy and proper SKU placement daily.
- Manage removal of expired, near-expiry, and non-moving items.
- Ensure correct entry of bounced items and supervise SKU audits.
- Maintain dispensing accuracy on quantity and batch.
- Train and guide team on inventory accuracy and address issues.
- Monitor local demand and competition to adjust inventory requests.
- Vigilantly prevent theft and pilferage.
Marketing Activities:
- Plan and oversee outdoor marketing campaigns and ensure collateral availability.
- Monitor staff participation and performance in marketing activities.
- Ensure promotion of ongoing offers to customers.
- Lead by example in marketing efforts.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Pharmacy with 5-8 years of relevant experience.
- Valid State Pharmacy Council registration.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with computers and pharmacy software.
- Strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and ethical conduct.
